in hindu mythology the only thing that stopped a rampaging kali was shiva, her husband, lying down on the ground unarmed and unresisting, and her stepping on him. out of love, she stopped before she could hurt him
I really liked your Loki/Sylki/Shiva/Kali parallel. I was wondering if you can think of any other Hinduism parallels to MCU or other pop culture, I’m just curious to pick your mind. (I know Hindu scripture has some painful connotations for you, so feel free to ignore this ask.)

Not really! I don’t know many myths honestly, that shiva kali one is simply seared onto my brain
So in Brazil we were just hit by a huge cold front and in some parts of the country, people are seeing snow for the first time
Now Brazilian media is filled with American influences, so we’ve seen a lot of snow on TV and now that we finally get our hands on the stuff, we decide to have some fun right
The problem is that Brazilians really don’t know how to build snowmen
Brazilian media is now calling our snowmen “Chernobyl Olafs”
remember when being “SU critical” was a whole ass thing and you would see posts like “why Steven Universe is fascist apologia: an essay” and “oh no, Steven Universe has inconsistent animation” unironically put up on the same blogs
deanlisa only “works” (lisa letting some random serial killer she had a one night stand with 9 years ago move into her house) because lisa is the protagonist of her OWN story. this is her lana del rey moment this is her bad boy with a heart of gold this is her manic pixie dream boy this someone who can help parent her kid while she in turn works on fixing him and that’s what she wants. blue jeans, white shirt, walked into the room you know you made my eyes burn…
i’m doing research on the bengal famine for a project and the author of this book is repeatedly expressing his shock and disbelief at how not only the english but the nationalists claiming to fight for the interest of the indian people totally ignored the widespread institutional murder and suffering of the indian people and this book was written ten years ago and. mr chatterjee you may have done years of research but i understand your work better than you ever could.
